Welcome to the President page!
You’re probably here because either (a) you’re curious about what Duncan government does, (b) you’re curious about what the President does, or (c) you have a burning desire to look at pictures of my glorious mug. Let’s assume it’s (c).
Though (a) is addressed elsewhere, hopefully I can go a short way toward addressing (b) and (c). However, if you have unanswered questions, my email is below!
To tell you a little bit about myself, I am a senior majoring in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering. I was born in Jakarta, Indonesia, but grew up outside of Houston in Spring, TX. Over my tenure at Rice, I have been involved in Duncan Government, Engineers without Borders, and the Honor Council. But beyond all of this, my favorite things include small doggos, The Bachelor, and traveling as much as I can!
As Duncan President, it’s my job to find creative ways to help you. With that in mind, I’m excited to work to build this community over the coming year through both your vision and my own. Duncan government holds weekly meeting, called Forum, where all members of the Duncan community can voice their opinions, concerns or ideas. However, given all the different interests present in the community, a lot of the conversation happens outside this more formal structure. If you have things you want to start, change, stop, etc, but you’re not really sure what the first steps are, come find me! I’m here to be a resource for you.
So as you continue to peruse the rest of this website, I hope you realize that whatever your passion is, The Duncan community is here to support you!
